I officially joined the fan fiction community online in 2007. I'd lurked around for about a year or so before that, just reading stuff and leaving guest/anon reviews. I only joined fanfiction.net though, as wandering around the net kinda scared me. (It still does to be honest, too much crap out there.) I joined Archive of Our Own halfway through last year and have enjoyed finding stories posted there that aren't on fanfiction.net. I have noticed changes in the fan fiction community in general over the years and I'd like to share my findings. - People used to review far more often. Ten years ago at least half the people that liked your story and added it to their fav/alert list etc. would also leave a review. Even if that review was only "plz update". Now though? Now you're lucky to get one review per 3-5 favs/alerts. People on ao3 seem a bit more inclined to comment than those on ff at least, which is nice. But it's a bit discouraging if you're cross-posting and you can see the

Good grief, this new dA is dreadful! A few years ago (2014) I started hearing people talk about this cool new anime called Seven Deadly Sins. It was only on Netflix, which I didn't have back then, so I ignored it and didn't even bother looking it up. Having had Netflix on my laptop for the past year or so now, I ran across it as a Netflix Original and decided to give it a try, despite still knowing nothing about it. I thoroughly enjoyed it! And when season 1 (only out on Blu-ray) stops being $80 AUD, do you think people are made of money?!? then I'll happily buy it. I'll get the 4 episodes between season 1 and 2 (labelled as season 2 on Netflix) and the actual season 2 (labelled as season 3 on Netflix) when they come out too. Heck, I'll get the movie Prisoners of the Sky as well, I enjoyed it. A-1 did a fantastic job - the anime is true enough to the manga for me not to care about the little differences. It's vibrant, fluid and a real treat to watch. There's so much feeling packed

Moving On

0 min read
So I posted a journal earlier today regarding some unfair things going down on Dragon's Den. I had a talk with a friend after she told me I looked like I needed to talk. I told her what happened and what had been said. But then she asked me "Why is it your business?" And she's right. DD is no business of mine anymore. I'm upset on behalf of my friends that were the victims of the whole incident, but it hasn't done my health a bit of good. And so I'm going to leave it alone. I appreciate all the comments and support given to me and my friends over this, but I vowed to leave all the stress because of DD behind when I moved - so that's what
